Add one TA at a
time | Top
Depending on administrator settings, this option may
not be available.
- From the Control
Panel, click Manage Course. The
Manage Course screen appears.
- Click Manage Teaching Assistants.
The Manage Teaching Assistants screen appears.
- Under Options: Records, select
Add/Import teaching assistants,
and click Go. The Add
Teaching Assistants screen appears.
- Under Add Single Teaching
Assistant, complete the text boxes for Last
Name, First Name, User
ID, and Initial Password. Note:
User IDs must be unique and must contain
only alphanumeric characters (numbers, letters or underscores). Spaces
are not allowed. The initial password must be at least 4 characters
in length.
- If you are adding the TA to a cross-listed
course, the Add Teaching Assistant to Course
drop-down list is displayed. Select
the course from the cross-listed set to which you want to add the TA.

Note:
When a TA is assigned to one cross-listed course, they also have TA
access to all courses in the set, with access to all student records.
- Click Add. The Manage
Teaching Assistants screen appears
and the TA is added.
Importing TA records from the
global database | Top
To import a teaching assistant
from your institution's global database of WebCT users:
- From the Control Panel, click Manage
Course. The Manage Course screen
appears.
- Click Manage Teaching Assistants.
The Manage Teaching Assistants screen
appears.
- Under Options: Records, select
Add/Import teaching assistants,
and click Go. The Add
Teaching Assistants screen appears.
- Under
Import from Global Database,
enter the TA's WebCT ID in the text box.
- If you are adding the TA to a cross-listed
course, the Add Teaching Assistant to Course
drop-down list is displayed. Select
the course from the cross-listed set to which you want to add the TA.

- Click Add. The Manage

If you don't know a TA's WebCT ID consult your WebCT system administrator.
